Last night I went to go see The Nutcracker. I was hesitant to go, because of all the emotions wrapped up into it. I thought it would just make me feel worse. But, I decided to anyway, and I'm glad I did.
When I got there all the girls were excited to see me. Most of them I hadn't seen in a really long time. The directors were happy to see me to. One of the professional dancers I've known forever didn't even recognize me. He was all "you're all grown up I'm just the same old guy in tights." haha. And I got to talk with one of my favorite teachers and tell her what I was doing and she said she was proud of me. So that was good. Overall it was really great seeing everybody and reconnecting. I felt myself coming back to life last night.
It was actually like I WAS just home for the holidays. And that's how I've decided to look at it. I'm home for the holidays and going back to Vegas in January. I'll be starting a whole new adventure. But it was good to have this night of reminiscing and reconnecting. New cherished memories. <3
