Vegas To-Do List

1. Book hotel! (very very important! I'm pulling for the Flamingo, but I don't know if you have to be 21 to check in...)

2. Write essay (for a scholarship for school, have to turn in then.)

3. ORDER CLOTHES! (yes, that's important. Viva Weekend, you gotta dress to impress!)

4. Re-stock makeup/toiletries (mascara, eyeliner, lipliner, lipstick, hairspray!, travel size toothpaste, shampoo)

5. Plan an itenerary (what days we're doing what. I want to spend AS MUCH time at Viva as possible.)

6. Load my Ipod (I need it for the plane, gotta refresh my tunes!)

7. PACK! PACK! PACK!

The Journey Back To Vegas: Part 2

IT IS OFFICIAL! I WILL be back in Vegas April 4-7! just in time for Viva Weekend! and my best friend is coming with me!

I feel like a miracle has happend! Lately I was really feeling depressed, like I was never gonna get back but then all of a sudden it all started coming together!

I called my school to set up a date to visit and gave April 5-15 as my options, she said the 5th so I took it as a sign and went for it. Then I called up my best friend to see if she could go and she got off work and got tickets and OMG IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER!

Seriously, it couldn't be more perfect! I feel like it was MEANT TO BE!

As of Wednesday we have EXACTLY 2 WEEKS! so I'll be very very very busy getting everything ready. Stay tuned for updates! I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!

That's The Way It Is.

Up at almost 2 in the morning watching Elvis: That's The Way It Is.

He's rocking out Suspicious Minds and I just got an overwhelming feeling for how much I love him, how much I love Vegas and how much I can't wait to be back.

Thank you Elvis. <3

Viva OR BUST!

As of today VLV ( Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender) is a month away! And that's also my goal date to be back in Vegas. I DO NOT want to miss it this year! I had the time of my life last year!!!

Also I would really love to get "re-established" in Vegas again before starting school. At this point it will be May before I can start, so I'd have about a month to get back into the swing of things.

I'm setting this goal for myself and I want to MAKE IT HAPPEN! I neeeeeed to be there!!!!!!!

Viva OR BUST!

The Journey Back To Vegas: Part 1

I have begun the journey back to Vegas!

By applying to cosmetology school and sending in my portfolio I have already taken the first step. I now have to take the next and that's to visit the school. I have to set up a date to tour and officially register.

I will have the choice of two start dates for classes, one in March and one in May. The time I start will depend on how things unfold.

The biggest issue of course is money. (money makes the world go around!) Money for airfare, money for a car, money for an apartment and the list goes on and on.

So in the meantime I will be saving, trying to earn some more money if I can and preparing to GET BACK TO VEGAS!

......................................stay tuned!

Viva ELVIS closing...:(

A few days ago I learned from a friend who works at the Aria hotel that Cirque Du Soleil's Viva ELVIS would be closing permanantly at the end of 2012.

This breaks my heart. not only was Viva ELVIS the most entertaining and fun time I've ever had at a show but one of the most moving and inspiring experiences I've ever had too.

For a true Elvis fan like me it's an experience that can't be matched by any other. it's a beautiful inside look into Elvis's life, music and legacy. it's one of a kind as Elvis is present on the stage the entire time. you can feel his presence there. it's truly beautiful.

According to The Las Vegas Sun both Cirque & Aria made the decision to close it because ticket sales were not doing well. this is heartbreaking news as well. I wish more people respected and cared about Elvis and his incredible life and career. he was a truly wonderful entertainer and everyone needs to know that.

With Viva for a short time I felt like the world DID care about Elvis & his story and music would be seen by new generations. I am so passionate about keeping his memory alive and I felt this show really did that in a wonderful way. I will continue to suport it until closing as I continue to support Elvis. he is alive in my heart. Viva ELVIS for me anyway.
