I have the best Big Brother EVER!!!

Just wanted to show love for my big bro Troy! He's the best, he gets me, he understands me and I know he's always there for me. I love him so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elvis and Me

Elvis Presley is not only my favorite singer, but he's a part of me. You can take it or leave it, but he is deeply rooted in my soul. I am passionate about his music, his story and keeping his memory alive. It's not a phase, it's not an act I'm putting on, it's the real me. I realize that some people will never apperciate it, and certainly that many people will never understand it. I'm not asking anyone to be as crazy as I am about Elvis but I am asking them to accept that about me. I love him. He's a part of me. It's hurtful to me when someone mocks it or puts it down like it's a bad thing. A comment was made to me today about an assingnment we were given to bring in a peice of music from the 20th century I said "well I know what I'm choosing!" someone then said "if you bring in Elvis we're no longer friends." I know the person didn't really mean that, and that they probably didn't mean to be hurtful, but it still hit me kinda hard. I suppose maybe people get tired of my constant praise and admiration for Elvis, but as I said before it's a part of me, I can't help it and I'm not going to change who I am. I just had to put this out here, get it off my chest. I LOVE YOU ELVIS!!!

Favorite Places

The Cupcakery: OMGGGG this is the BEST cupcake bakery I've EVER been to!!! First of all it's ADORABLE when you walk in and it smells like HEAVEN, they have a million different flavors to choose from and it's sooooo hard to make a desicion, I ended up getting 3 (LOL) I got the Grasshopper (chocolate cupcake with mint chocolate frosting) the Southern Belle (red velve cupcake with cream cheese frosting) and he Kir Royale (raspberry cupcake with champange frosting) all soooo delicious! Newest obsession!

The Saxe Theater: This is the theatre where we saw Vegas: The Show!, my heart skipped a beat when I saw stills of Elvis and Ann Margret in Viva Las Vegas by the bar, and it only got better from there, there's a replica of a Vintage showgirl's dressing room, pictures of Elvis and Liberace in 1956, Elvis and Priscilla's wedding and Elvis at The International in 1969. <3 And the theatre itself was BEAUTIFUL, a lighed curtain and pink and blue and purple lights with an exquisite set for the show! LOVE it!

Vegas: The Show!

Last night Britney, Alexe and I got to see Vegas: The Show! at Planet Hollywood thanks to two of our guest artists at seminar who are in the show. The tckets are normally $80 for general admission, and we got $7 VIP tickets! (score!) And the show was AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!!!!! It was everything you could want from a Vegas show, taking the audience back to the Golden Age of Sin City with showgirls, swing bands, The Rat Pack, Sonny and Cher, Tom Jones, Tina Turner and of course Elvis! :)  It was everything I LOVE about Vegas in a show! All of it was why I wanted to come to Vegas! The bright lights, the excitement, the entertainment, the FUN! THIS is the kind of thing I want to do! I would LOVE to be in this show, I can see it, AMAZING, I loved it!

Favorite Places: 2nd Semester

A new favorite place!!! Today Alexe and I went shopping at this AWESOME store called Buffalo Exchange, it's a mix of a vintage/consignment/lifestyle store, and they had a lot of super cute stuff, rockabilly clothes and accesories I LOVED and a ton of vintage and unique pieces. And soooo well priced, I got a Lux de Ville handbag that was originally $135 for $14!!! AMAZING, will be going back there for sure!

Update! Today was soooooooooo much better than yesterday! I rocked all my classes and kept it POSITIVE!!!! Then went out with Alexe for dinner and just felt so FABULOUS! "I am so much better than before!"
